The 3rd Annual Forgery Show at Snow Creek Studios

The 3rd Annual Forgery Show, a collection of expertly-executed reproductions in oil of world-renown masterworks, will open Wednesday, April 1, at Snow Creek Studios in Mount Shasta. This year’s paintings will represent works by Dali, Modigliani, Redon, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Vermeer, and several others. The paintings displayed will be completed by 20 ArtRoster artists.
The artists meet weekly and utilizes techniques from the Old Masters’ atelier system of the European classical and impressionistic painting schools, as well as more contemporary methods.
The Annual Forgery Show began two years ago in 2013 when ten separate reproductions in oil of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa were displayed at The Gallery in Mt. Shasta. Since then the number of participating artists has increased, as well as the variety of masterworks represented.
The show will run through Friday, April 30, with a closing reception on April 24 at Snow Creek Studios from 5 to 8 pm during Mount Shasta’s 4th Friday Art Walk.
